For many years, I’ve always started Monday mornings with a fruit smoothie, then I have a salad for lunch and a light meal for dinner. I simply call it Detox Monday. Weekends are usually intense, packed with high calorie foods and the occasional alcoholic beverages. Fruit smoothies are fulfilling and refreshing. I don’t know, but consuming them make me feel lighter and my body feels energized. Also easy to make and tasty like my Papaya-Banana Smoothie and Antioxidant Berry Smoothie which I make at least once a week with the berries I find in the fridge. I know this might sound silly, but when we travel and rent a property with kitchen the first thing I ask is if the unit has a blender!
This recipe is from my aunt Eva Mari. From the first time she made this for me I got hooked! She makes several versions with whatever is at hand, but this is my favorite. Serves 2.
Enjoy!
